DonnaLee DeMaio is elected to the board of directors of State Street

Donna DeMaio, 63, was elected to the board. She led MetLife Bank and AIG's general insurance group. She was a PwC financial services partner before. State Street manages $4.1 trillion* in assets in more than 100 markets.
DonnaLee (Donna) DeMaio was elected to State Street's board today.
Ms. DeMaio, 63, was EVP and worldwide COO of AIG's General Insurance sector (AIG). She oversaw more than 5,000 personnel across five shared services centres in Asia, the US, and Europe. Ms. DeMaio oversaw global technology, operations, procurement, real estate, administration, security, risk and control, project management, and transformation at AIG. She was head auditor.
Before joining AIG, DeMaio led MetLife Bank's seven business lines and 6,000 workers in 200 locations. Her responsibilities included developing a risk organisation to address financial and operational risk. Before MetLife, DeMaio was a financial services partner at PwC.
Ron O'Hanley, State Street Corporation's CEO, remarked,

Ms. DeMaio graduated from Muhlenberg College in 1981 with a BA in accounting and business. She's CPA. She serves on the board of Hiscox Ltd., a Bermuda-based, London Stock Exchange-listed insurer.
