The partnership is kicking off on a green note by focusing on renewable energy and sustainable agriculture.
  • The object is to create an overarching ecosystem to drive Africa's transition to clean energy and sustainable growth.

  • A marketplace for green investments, connecting projects and investors, will be launched in Ghana.

Sustainability consultant Nviron Hive ("Nviron") has partnered with Npontu Technologies ("Npontu"), a specialist in big data and artificial intelligence (AI), to help Africa become more sustainable, particularly by catalysing ESG growth.

To make it happen, Nviron will blend its sustainability and green financing expertise with Npontu's technology, AI, and big data to develop climate and tech solutions.

The first project under the cooperation is developing the Nviron Tech platform, which is all set to become Ghana's first green investment and crowdfunding marketplace.

Stephane Nwolley, CEO of Npontu Technologies, commented: "Africa stands at a critical crossroads in its development journey. Through our AI-powered platform, we’re creating the digital infrastructure needed to ensure that growth across the continent is both economically viable and environmentally sustainable. This isn’t just about technology—it’s about creating a framework for a thriving, renewable future."

This platform will be launched in two phases: 1) building a crowdfunding system that connects sustainable projects and investors and a section dedicated to educational content and market insights, and 2) expanding investment tools and adding features to support community building among green economy stakeholders.

A unique feature of the platform is its use of AI. It will include smart tools that help match projects with potential investors, analyse market trends with data visualisation, and automatically track each investment's environmental impact. It will also support various investments, including equity, loans, and revenue-sharing, making it more flexible and inclusive.

The partnership is kicking off on a green note by focusing on renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and electric mobility (e-mobility). To this end, Npontu will transform its office using native plants and widen this effort to surrounding areas, showing commitment to sustainable living.

On the whole, the collaboration aligns with the global effort to triple renewable energy capacity by 2030, promoted by Earth Day 2025.

Otema Yirenkyi, Co-Founder of Nviron Hive Limited, said: "Our ambition extends beyond building a platform—we’re creating an ecosystem that will accelerate Africa’s transition to renewable energy and sustainable development.

"The technology we’re developing will make it easier for everyone to participate in this vital transition."
