The Plansee Group took a step forward by joining the UN Global Compact, highlighting its dedication to responsible and sustainable business practices.

Earlier in September, the Ceratizit business area had already become a part of this initiative. Both these segments, along with the Plansee High Performance Materials business area, are now part of the UN Global Compact.

The UN Global Compact, initiated by the United Nations, sets out ten fundamental principles that companies must adhere to. These principles cover various aspects such as human rights, working conditions, environmental protection, and anti-corruption measures. By joining the Compact, companies like Plansee Group commit to integrating these principles into their operations.

Membership in the UN Global Compact reflects a commitment to ethical conduct and aligning business practices with broader societal goals. For Plansee Group and its affiliated business areas, this move signifies a collective effort towards promoting sustainable development and responsible corporate behaviour on a global scale.

"With this step, we are underlining our efforts in these areas in line with our Code of Conduct. We firmly believe that sustainable action is not only crucial for the environment and society but also supports the long-term success of the company," says Karlheinz Wex, CEO of the Plansee Group.
