Nikon Corporation has announced its consistent inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) "DJSI World" and "DJSI Asia Pacific" for the sixth consecutive year, solidifying its position among global Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) leaders.

Each year, DJSI conducts a thorough assessment of major companies worldwide, evaluating their sustainability across environmental, economic, and social dimensions. Companies ranking in the top 10 per cent within their industries earn a coveted spot on the "DJSI World" list.

In 2023, Nikon proudly joins the ranks of the 321 companies recognised globally. Additionally, the company secures a place on the "DJSI Asia Pacific," a regional index covering the Asia-Pacific region.

Nikon Corporation also merits recognition for inclusion in all ESG indices endorsed by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), focusing on domestic stocks.

Aligned with its Corporate Philosophy of Trustworthiness and Creativity, the Nikon Group is dedicated to meeting societal expectations and earning "trust" across environmental, social/labour, and governance domains.

Moreover, the company aspires to contribute to the realisation of a seamlessly co-created, sustainable society where humans and machines harmoniously generate "new value" through innovative business activities. These ongoing initiatives underscore Nikon's commitment to advancing sustainability.
