Travellers seeking sustainable treats can now indulge in delicious chocolate while supporting cocoa farmers with Nestlé's new travel-exclusive range.

This exciting line reflects Nestlé's rich chocolate-making history and their commitment to responsible sourcing through their long-standing partnership with the Rainforest Alliance, a well-respected sustainability organisation.

Today's travellers increasingly value ethical sourcing. Nestlé Sustainably Sourced chocolates cater to this growing demand, using Rainforest Alliance-certified cocoa sourced through the established Nestlé Cocoa Plan.

Launched 15 years ago, the Nestlé Cocoa Plan has positively impacted over 1,70,000 families through three key areas:

  • Improved farming practices: This helps cocoa-growing communities thrive.

  • Enhanced social conditions: The programme focuses on improving the lives of families.

  • Sustainable cocoa production: This ensures long-term environmental health.

This new chocolate range will be available in airports worldwide. With options in 170g and 280g bars, travellers can even personalise their chocolate with custom messages on the packaging. The campaign visuals will also connect travellers with the Nestlé Cocoa Plan and the Rainforest Alliance's work.

“Through creative branding, we can provide transparency on the origin of the cocoa used in our chocolate," commented Aura Sanchez, Head of Marketing at Nestlé Travel Retail. “It enables us to raise awareness about our longstanding commitments to supporting cocoa-farming families and the long-term sustainability of cocoa production.”

Nestlé is a market leader in sustainable chocolate. They recently introduced the first KitKat containing completely traceable cocoa from their partner farms. The new Sustainable Sourced collection uses recyclable paper pouches, similar to Smarties packaging.

The Nestlé Cocoa Plan goes beyond chocolate. They have distributed over 1.2 million trees to cocoa farmers, providing shade and moisture for crops. Also, nearly 20,000 hectares of land have been revitalised through pruning, improving productivity and reducing pests on cocoa farms.

By choosing Nestlé Sustainably Sourced chocolate, travellers can enjoy a delicious treat while making a positive impact on the world.
