AECOM appoints Max Driscoll, AIA, LEED-AP, GRI as Vice President of Sustainability for its Construction Management business. He has worked on several large-scale sustainability projects, including the World Trade Center site and a two million-square-foot net zero energy corporate campus.

Admiral graduates raised over £30,000 for The Wallich and British Heart Foundation through their Challenge Admiral fundraising scheme.

Since 2006, Admiral's graduate scheme has challenged enthusiastic new hires to fundraise while rotating through different business areas.

The group was the first to use remote fundraising, including a Grand Prize Draw raffle, pet photo contests, and online gaming tournaments, due to the pandemic. In addition, the group walked from Newport to Cardiff for seven exhausting hours.

Fundraising for charities was rewarding and gave graduates many development opportunities.

“Challenge Admiral proved itself to be a winning concept once again in 2021 – a partnership approach that sees Admiral grads innovating to develop entrepreneurship, leadership, and a host of other soft skills relevant to the workplace, while providing financial support for charities doing outstanding work in Wales,” said Admiral Graduate Programme Manager Leigh Manley.

BHF research will benefit from the split donation, as 340,000 Welsh people suffer from heart and circulatory diseases.

"A huge thank you to the 2021 Admiral graduates; they showed such commitment and enthusiasm during challenging times," said BHF Cymru Area Fundraising Manager Nikki James.

" Our groundbreaking research at the BHF is funded entirely by donations. Providing heart and circulatory disease patients with support. And a world of cures and treatments we can't even imagine today.”

The Wallich's Reflections Network, which provided 5,139 hours of mental health counseling to homeless people last year, will benefit from the split donation.
