Accor appoints Kamal Rhazali General Secretary and Legal Director of the Luxury & Lifestyle division

Kamal Rhazali joins Accor as Secretary General and General Counsel of the Luxury & Lifestyle division. He will report directly to Sébastien Bazin, effective February 1, 2023. In 2013, he joined Katara Hospitality as Legal Director and Secretary to the Board of Directors.

Kamal Rhazali has been named Secretary General and General Counsel of Accor's Luxury & Lifestyle division, effective February 1, 2023. He will report to Sébastien Bazin directly.

Mr. Rhazali's new responsibilities include assisting in the formation of the "Luxury & Lifestyle" division, participating in the development of its strategy, and ensuring the consistency of its implementation.

He will also be involved in external growth operations, will collaborate closely with the general managers of the luxury and lifestyle brands, and will coordinate the division's legal, commercial, talent, and culture functions. Kamal Rhazali will be a member of the Group Management Board as well as the Executive Committee of the Luxury & Lifestyle division.

Kamal Rhazali graduated from the Sorbonne University with several law degrees and was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2005. He began his career in top international law firms, first in France and then in Dubai, where he advised multinational corporations, large institutional investors, and sovereign wealth funds.

He joined Katara Hospitality, one of the world's most prestigious luxury hotel owners, as Legal Director and Secretary to the Board of Directors in 2013. In these roles, he was involved in all strategic decisions and oversaw the expansion of Katara Hospitality's portfolio of iconic hotels, including the acquisition of the Plaza in New York, the Grosvenor House and the Savoy in London, the Carlton in Cannes, and the Excelsior in Rome.
