  • Voltalia is working with Ørsted on EPC for a new solar farm in County Carlow, Ireland.

  • This is an addition to Voltalia’s Irish footprint, where it has over 540 MW of projects.

Voltalia a major player in renewable energy has been chosen by Ørsted to deliver engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) for its first solar farm in County Carlow, Ireland.

Sébastien Clerc, CEO of Voltalia said: “We are delighted with this first collaboration with Ørsted, one of the world leaders in our sector. With this new service contract, Voltalia illustrates its competitiveness as a builder of solar power plants."

This is an addition to Voltalia’s Irish footprint, with over 540 MW of solar power projects either built or under construction.

In July 2023, Voltalia was awarded the 108 MW Timahoe North solar farm by ESB and Bord na Móna. In August 2023, Power Capital Renewable chose Voltalia for four photovoltaic projects of 230 MW. Voltalia’s latest project is the 75 MW Middleton House project in northeast Lanesborough, secured in summer 2024.
