The collaboration is based on innovation, using artificial intelligence (AI) to optimise supply chains.
The partnership also helped the companies overcome challenges like supply chain disruptions and COVID-19.
Syngenta Crop Protection, a Switzerland-based sustainable farming solution provider, has renewed its partnership with Maersk to improve supply chain efficiency and sustainability.
They have extended their tie-up for another five years to create customised supply chain solutions that are both more effective and more sustainable.
Their main focus is to reduce carbon emissions in their operations. To this end, Maersk aims to reach net-zero emissions by 2040, while Syngenta is working on its decarbonisation efforts. The collaboration also includes reporting on carbon emissions at regular intervals and discussions on how to improve sustainability.
