Neste launches Neste Impact, a new solution for businesses aiming to shrink the carbon footprint of their air travel and transport activities.

This solution involves purchasing Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel™, which can cut greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) by up to 80% compared to regular fossil jet fuel.

Neste Impact helps businesses turn their climate goals into practical steps to reduce emissions from air travel and transport. By partnering with Neste, businesses can replace fossil jet fuel with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), leading to targeted emissions reductions. Neste ensures that SAF is used to replace fossil fuel and provides businesses with verified reports on the emissions savings achieved.

Aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Aviation Guidance, Neste Impact operates on a simple book and claim approach. This means Neste guarantees that the SAF purchased is used exclusively in aviation to replace fossil jet fuel, meeting strict criteria.

The emissions reductions achieved are independently verified, allowing businesses to transparently report their progress towards sustainability goals. Plus, the SAF sold through Neste Impact goes beyond meeting regulatory requirements, contributing extra emissions reductions in aviation.

Kristina Öström, Vice President Marketing, Brand and Partnerships from the renewable aviation business at Neste, said, "The urgency for climate action has never been greater, and businesses are increasingly looking for solutions that help them to reduce their aviation-related carbon footprint. However, it can be a challenge to find a credible solution, particularly considering the ever-increasing reporting requirements and public demand for transparency. Neste Impact provides an easy-to-use solution for verified emission reductions, provided by the world’s leading producer of SAF."
