Iveco Group has announced that it is now part of the United Nations Global Compact initiative, the largest sustainability initiative for corporations globally.

In becoming a Signatory of the UN Global Compact, Iveco Group joins a vast community of businesses across the world, all dedicated to undertaking responsible business practices that contribute to building a sustainable future.

This initiative urges companies to harmonise their operations and strategies with universally acknowledged principles in the realms of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. Furthermore, it advocates for initiatives aligned with UN goals and the objectives encapsulated in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Established in the year 2000, the UN Global Compact stands as a voluntary leadership platform encouraging the development, execution, and disclosure of responsible business approaches.

With a membership exceeding 18,000 companies and 3,800 non-business signatories from over 160 countries and supported by approximately 80 country and regional networks, this initiative facilitates localised efforts and activities. By officially joining the UN Global Compact, Iveco Group underscores its unwavering commitment to sustainable business practices and its determination to contribute positively towards fostering a more sustainable society.

Gerrit Marx, CEO of Iveco Group, expressed his thoughts on this momentous occasion, stating, “Becoming a part of the UN Global Compact marks a significant milestone for Iveco Group. It aligns seamlessly with our mission to serve as the hub for exceptional individuals and brands that drive your business forward with a dedication to advancing a more sustainable society.

"We take pride in pledging our adherence to the universal principles of the UN Global Compact and vow to actively contribute to the collective pursuit of the Global Goals through our Environmental, Social, and Governance endeavours within the mobility industry."
