Abbott is one of the select few ESG pioneers to appear on the annual list of the 100 Best Corporate Citizens since 2009.

Abbott has once again been named to 3BL Media's annual 100 Best Corporate Citizens list, which recognizes exceptional environmental, social and governance (ESG) transparency and performance among the 1,000 largest U.S. public companies. This is Abbott's 14th consecutive year on the list – we're one of only 19 companies to have made the ranking each year since 2009.

This recognition reflects Abbott's work to integrate sustainability into everything we do, with a dedicated focus on priorities outlined in our 2030 Sustainability Plan – including innovating for access and equity in health. By designing for access and affordability at every step, transforming care for chronic disease, malnutrition and infectious disease, and advancing health equity through partnership, we're working to improve the lives of 3 billion people every year by the end of the decade.

The 100 Best Corporate Citizens ranking is based on 155 ESG factors in eight pillars: climate change, employee relations, environment, finance, governance, human rights, stakeholders and society, and ESG performance. Using a methodology developed by 3BL Media, all Russell 1000 Index companies are researched by ISS ESG, the responsible investment research arm of Institutional Shareholder Services. Abbott ranked No. 50 overall for 2022. To see the complete 100 Best Corporate Citizens ranking and methodology,
