Vedanta Ranks 2nd in DJSI 2022 World Rankings

Vedanta Aluminium has achieved second place in the S&P Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for the aluminium industry for the assessment period of FY 21–22. This ranking is based on the company's performance in terms of economic, environmental, and social sustainability criteria.

Vedanta Aluminium has improved its ranking from 4th to 2nd place in the S&P DJSI. This places the company as the world's second most sustainable aluminium producer. The ranking is based on an annual evaluation of sustainability practices among over 10,000 companies across industries, with only the most sustainable selected for inclusion.

Vedanta Aluminium received high scores in many areas of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria, such as Cybersecurity, Environment Reporting, Environmental Policy & Management Systems, Social Reporting, Labour Practice Indicators, Human Capital Development, Talent Attraction & Retention, Customer Relationship Management, and Social Impact on Communities.
