Highlights

  • Worldly launches Product Impact Calculator at Worldly Customer Forum.

  • Get exact, auditable Scope 3 emissions data for apparel and consumer goods companies.

  • Simplifies and speeds up sustainability reporting and calculations.

At the Worldly Customer Forum, Worldly, the supply chain sustainability insights platform, launched the Product Impact Calculator.

Scope 3 emissions make up over 90% of the total emissions in the apparel and consumer goods industries. The Product Impact Calculator is here to help you meet your reduction targets and upcoming reporting requirements.

Alex Lauver, Senior Director of Materials, Innovation & Sustainability at Outdoor Research, says the tool is key to the industry using primary data for environmental improvements.

Before, the sustainability teams would spend months managing spreadsheets to aggregate data on their products and supply chains. The Product Impact Calculator does that work for you, using Worldly’s technology to calculate more accurately and actionably with purchase orders, supply chain operations and product specs.

Worldly customers can also filter emissions data by adding primary supply chain information from the Higg Index, the environmental and social impact measurement tool from the global non-profit alliance Cascale. The Product Impact Calculator has limited assurance from Apex, so you are audit-ready for Scope 3 reporting.

Kelly Hughes, Sustainability Manager at Ruffwear, says the tool will allow you to track against your greenhouse gas (GHG) budget just like you do with your financial budget.

Kevin Vranes, Worldly’s Chief Product Officer, says the Product Impact Calculator gives you a foundation to measure Scope 3 emissions so you can use your existing primary data for GHG calculations.

This comes on the heels of the launch of the Facility Data Manager, which gives you validated environmental data from your supply chains every month. Worldly is always building more tools to help apparel and consumer goods companies reach their sustainability targets.
