Wilson Vale has announced its partnership with the UK's membership body for social enterprises, Social Enterprise UK, stating its intention to collaborate with businesses that invest at least half of their income in social or environmental projects.

This announcement reaffirms Wilson Vale's commitment to putting purpose before profit by forming significant new partnerships to further its environmental and social goals.

The Full Works, Wilson Vale's ESG report on their commitments and progress, includes social responsibility initiatives such as social enterprise engagement, sustainability events, and hospitality action collaborations, as well as environmental commitment initiatives such as its solar-powered head office, fully electric fleet programme, zero single-use plastic, and on-site composting and recycling.

Andy Daly, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Social Enterprise UK, commented:

“We are delighted to welcome Wilson Vale to the Social Enterprise UK community. We have had some very encouraging initial conversations around the work Wilson Vale is already doing to 'Buy Social’, and we look forward to working together to build on this and drive further support for the UK’s growing movement of social enterprises.”

Graeme Watson, ESG Director at Wilson Vale, said:

“Becoming a supporting member of Social Enterprise UK was the natural next step for us as part of our ongoing commitment to support social change. We’re incredibly proud to support Social Enterprise UK on its mission to create a fairer economy and a more sustainable future for everyone and look forward to partnering with social enterprise suppliers to get stuck in and make a real difference in our sector and beyond.”

Wilson Vale specialises in high-quality catering for the corporate, industry and independent school markets, employing 650 individuals and working with over 300 British suppliers.
