The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) has recognised Blue Dart Express, a leading express air and integrated transportation and distribution logistics company in South Asia, for its climate neutrality efforts.

The company has received silver in both the "Reduce" and "Contribute" categories and bronze in the "Measure" category under the UNFCCC's #ClimateNeutralNow initiative.

The #ClimateNeutralNow initiative is a global movement that aims to achieve a climate-neutral world by 2050. Participants in the initiative must annually report their actions to measure, reduce, and contribute to climate neutrality.

Blue Dart's recognition demonstrates its commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. The company has taken several steps to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions, including:

  • Switching to electric vehicles for its fleet of delivery vans

  • Investing in renewable energy

  • Implementing energy efficiency measures in its facilities

  • Offsetting its remaining emissions

Blue Dart's CEO, Ketan Kulkarni, said, "We are honoured to be recognised by the UNFCCC for our climate neutrality efforts. At Blue Dart, we believe in taking responsibility for our environmental impact, and these recognitions are a testament to our commitment to sustainability."

Kulkarni added that Blue Dart will continue to work towards its goal of net-zero emissions by 2050. "We are committed to playing our part in creating a healthier and more sustainable future for all," he said.

Blue Dart's recognition by the UNFCCC is a significant achievement and demonstrates the company's leadership in sustainability. The company's efforts are an inspiration to other businesses in South Asia and around the world.
