Sphera, a global leader in ESG performance and risk management, has acquired SupplyShift, a California-based company specialising in supply chain sustainability software.

Established in 2012, SupplyShift connects over 1,00,000 suppliers, facilitating quick communication between buyers and suppliers for risk management and compliance. The software provides transparency, supplier mapping, analytics, scoring, and traceability, serving a diverse clientele worldwide.

Sphera's CEO and president, Paul Marushka, commented about the remarkable growth of SupplyShift's software in enabling direct communication with suppliers and the collection of Scope 3 emissions data. Marushka highlighted the solution's relevance as global regulations increasingly demand transparency. Bringing SupplyShift into the Sphera family is seen as an expansion of offerings, enhancing Scope 3 and ESG tracking and reporting capabilities.

SupplyShift's CEO, Alex Gershenson, said, "The collaboration aims to enhance data availability for better tracking of emissions and improved supply chain sustainability management."
