Speedy Hire, a UK-based rental company, has joined the Exponential Roadmap Initiative (ERI), a group of organisations committed to achieving a drastic reduction in emissions by 2030.

The initiative focuses on collaborative efforts and innovative solutions to meet this ambitious climate goal.

Gaining Entry Through Green Initiatives

Speedy Hire's acceptance into the ERI required showcasing their efforts in substantially reducing emissions. This includes transforming their business model and incorporating climate-friendly solutions into their product portfolio.

Collaboration is Key

The ERI brings together leading companies from various industries, building a community for knowledge sharing and development of best sustainability practices.

Speedy Hire Embraces Collaboration

Amelia Woodley, ESG director, Speedy Hire, said, “Joining the Exponential Roadmap Initiative is valuable not only because its work on circularity and climate solutions is cutting-edge, but also because creating real change can only be achieved through collaboration.

“The Initiative enables us to work with other climate leaders in global businesses around the world, to help enable Speedy Hire to continue to be ahead of the curve and achieve our strategy to deliver on sustainability for our customers, people, communities and our planet.”

Alignment with ERI's Vision

Johan Falk, CEO and co-founder, Exponential Roadmap Initiative, added, “Speedy Hire’s work aligns very well with what we want to see from all companies: the integration of climate at the highest level of the company, in its strategy, business development and product management.

“Speedy Hire also has circularity at the heart of its business. We look forward to supporting Speedy Hire in further increasing its climate ambition and working with suppliers and its client base to reduce emissions across the complete value chain.”

Exponential Roadmap Initiative: A Growing Force for Change

Founded in 2018, the ERI has grown to over 30 members, including industry giants like Skanska, Netflix, Scania, and Google. This collaboration signifies a powerful movement towards a more sustainable future.
