Rhenus Warehousing Solutions UK, a well-known logistics company, has reached a major construction milestone at its new building at Baytree in Nuneaton. The company celebrated the roof installation on the second warehouse in partnership with Baytree Logistics Developments, the developer of the project.
The 'Rhenus Campus' is a new sustainable development that will house two large warehouses, covering a total area of one million square feet, equivalent to 36 football pitches. The second warehouse is the larger of the two distribution centres, spanning 771,000 square feet, while the first warehouse, which measures 210,000 square feet, had its roof installed in October 2022.
The campus aims to cater to customers in various sectors, such as fashion and apparel, health and beauty, toys, homeware, and consumer goods, offering them exceptional service, innovative warehousing, and distribution solutions. Rhenus uses the latest emerging technologies to ensure efficient storage, B2B and B2C order fulfilment, value-added services, and comprehensive returns management.
In addition to its business operations, the 'Rhenus Campus' will also prioritise environmental and social aspects. The development will generate renewable energy on-site, enabling customers to attain their own net-zero targets while ensuring that the facility remains climate-neutral.
