Panasonic Corporation of North America has been recognised by Call2Recycle as a 2022 Top 100 Leader in Sustainability for their exceptional battery recycling efforts.

The award is presented annually to Call2Recycle programme participants who excel in battery recycling.

In 2022, Call2Recycle collected and recycled almost 8 million pounds of consumer batteries, including over 3 million pounds of lithium-ion batteries, the highest number in the programme's history.

Panasonic's commitment to battery recycling contributed to a 4% increase in rechargeable batteries collected by Call2Recycle in 2021.

Call2Recycle CEO & President Leo Raudys said that organisations, such as Panasonic, are taking positive actions to make a difference in the environment.
