The renowned international rating agency, S&P Global, known for assessing the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects of over 13,000 companies across diverse sectors, has consistently acknowledged Leonardo's commitment to sustainability.

For the fourteenth consecutive year, Leonardo has earned a coveted spot in both the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index.

The inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) is a result of the thorough Corporate Sustainability Assessment conducted by S&P Global. This assessment delves into the ESG performance of companies, emphasising continuous improvement.

Leonardo's rating, as of 08/12/2023, stands impressively at 80 out of 100 points, solidifying its position as the leader in the Aerospace & Defence sector for the fifth consecutive year.

Leonardo's CEO and General Manager, Roberto Cingolani, emphasised the pivotal role sustainability plays in enhancing business competitiveness.

He stated, “Sustainability is a lever to boost the competitiveness of our business.” Cingolani outlined the company's strategic focus on decarbonising activities, fostering a more sustainable supply chain, and championing a culture based on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Stefano Pontecorvo, Chairman of Leonardo, celebrated the company's recognition as a global sustainability leader. He expressed confidence in Leonardo's commitment to creating sustainable value for all stakeholders and strengthening the governance of ESG issues.

The acknowledgement in the DJSI aligns with other notable ratings received by Leonardo in 2023. These include the A - Average rating from MSCI ESG Ratings, a medium risk ESG Risk Rating by Sustainalytics (25.0), a Moody's Analytics ESG Score of 63/100, continued presence in the MIB ESG Index of Euronext and Borsa Italiana, an A- rating by CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), and inclusion in Bloomberg's Gender Equality Index 2023.
