The U.S. division of Grainger has received Great Place to Work Certification for the second year in a row. The vast majority of team members questioned this year regarded Grainger as an excellent workplace. Ninety-four percent of surveyed team members believe that Grainger has a friendly culture for new workers.

Grainger, the leading broad line distributor of maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) products serving businesses and institutions, today announced that its U.S. business has earned Great Place to Work® Certification™ for the second consecutive year. The Great Place to Work Certification recognizes employers who create an outstanding and consistent employee experience.

Receiving this distinguished certification is based on direct feedback from current team members by using Great Place to Work’s annual survey. The vast majority of team members who were surveyed this year deemed Grainger a great place to work – 32 percentage points higher than the average U.S. company, according to benchmarking data.

“The ambition that our team members demonstrate as we live our purpose – We Keep the World Working – is what makes Grainger a great place to work,”

said Kathleen Carroll, Grainger Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer.

“It’s important that our team members feel proud of where they work and the impact they make. We look forward to continuing to invest in a welcoming culture where everyone can learn and grow.”

Ninety-four percent of surveyed team members feel that Grainger has a welcoming environment for new hires, and 91 percent believe they have the flexibility to take time off when needed and are provided with the right resources to successfully do their job.

Grainger offers competitive benefits covering the emotional, financial, physical, and social well-being of team members and their families, including paid time off and holidays, an industry-leading automatic six percent 401(k) company contribution, stress management programs, tuition reimbursement and more. Recently, the company has invested in benefits that allow for more virtual and on-demand resources to meet the evolving needs of our team members as well as extended family leaves for parents.
