FinalStraw: Portable, Reusable Straw Helping Reduce Plastic Waste

The campaign only expected to raise $12,500 but became so popular and ended up securing $1.8 million in the end.
Many countries are bringing in laws to ban plastic straws and promote the use of more sustainable, greener alternatives.
Sustainable enthusiasts Emma Cohen and Miles Pepper have already raised the bar in sustainability by introducing the world's first reusable, collapsible straw, FinalStraw, through a Kickstarter campaign, which helped them raise over $1.8 million.
They aim to provide a practical alternative to single-use plastic straws. Their product, FinalStraw, is made of stainless steel and is reusable, foldable, and easy to carry. It can be taken wherever you go, as it comes with a small case that can be attached to a keychain. The straw is dishwasher safe and also comes with a cleaning brush.
These innovative, sustainable straws play an outsized role in protecting our marine ecosystem. Plastic straws often end up in oceans and destroy marine life. Animals like turtles, dolphins, and other small and big fish can unknowingly swallow them and eventually die.
