Cogo, a company that helps banks offer carbon-reduction tools to their customers, has joined forces with Bantotal.

Green finance and sustainable banking are becoming increasingly important around the world. This partnership aims to bring Cogo's carbon management skills to both commercial and retail banks within Bantotal's network. Bantotal works with over 70 banks in the Americas, while Cogo has experience integrating carbon management into banking systems, having partnered with 20 banks in Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Emma Kisby, CEO of Cogo, says: “While green finance and carbon management solutions are starting to have a greater presence in banking experiences in Europe and APAC, there has been very little adoption in the Americas. We hope this partnership with Bantotal changes that. “Bantotal has a large presence with over 70 banking partners, so we hope to introduce these banks to not only the importance of carbon management but also the opportunity for customer engagement that comes with it and broader conversations about green products and solutions.”

Pablo Silveira of Bantotal comments: “A strategic alliance with Cogo would allow Bantotal to strengthen its commitment to environmental and social sustainability, and at the same time offer innovative and sustainable solutions to our clients, differentiating ourselves in the market and contributing significantly to the sustainable development of our communities.”

Cogo's first banking partnership was with NatWest in November 2021. They now work with 20 banks worldwide, reaching an estimated 30 million potential customers.
