Breitling Partners with Capgemini, Salesforce to Automate Carbon Accounting
Automation reduces complex manual carbon accounting processes and helps the company achieve carbon neutrality.
Managing and sharing data with employees and suppliers becomes easier.
Breitling, a Swiss luxury watchmaker, partnered with Capgemini and Salesforce to automate tracking and reporting of carbon emissions.
As part of the partnership, the watchmaker will use Salesforce's Net Zero Cloud solution to become carbon neutral and manage environmental data more efficiently, eliminating the need for manual effort.
Breitling wants to cut its carbon emissions but faces many hurdles with time-consuming, complex manual data collection. The partnership with Salesforce and Capgemini will help the company implement Salesforce Net Zero Cloud, which automates emissions data collection and reporting through clear dashboards and follows global standards such as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
The process starts with gathering emissions data from vehicles, facilities, energy use, and supply chains. Salesforce's solution calculates and organises the data and creates dashboards to visualise and report this information. Eventually, Breitling's centralised system for managing emissions data is now operational, delivering results with fewer errors in less time.
The Swiss company plans to expand carbon tracking across its supply chain and set science-based targets for reducing emissions.
