  • BIG commits to net zero carbon emissions by 2065; and Delta by 2050.

  • The partnership promotes sustainability and greener practices in Thailand's electronics industry.

BIG, a leader in industrial gas and greenhouse gas reduction technology, has joined forces with Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL, an IoT-based smart green solutions provider, to make Thailand's electronic industry more sustainable.

The companies will use low-carbon nitrogen to manufacture electronic components. This is the first time nitrogen has been used in the production of electronic components in Thailand. Traditionally, nitrogen production is not sustainable and emits a lot of carbon into the atmosphere.

BIG's nitrogen is produced using cleaner and energy-efficient methods. It lowers carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by more than 50% compared to conventional nitrogen. Meanwhile, Delta will use low-carbon nitrogen to reduce its supply chain emissions, also called indirect or Scope 3 emissions, helping it align with its goal to transition to sustainable operations.

Mr. Jackie Chang Chief Operating Officer & President of Delta Electronics Thailand, said: “Partnering with BIG to adopt sustainably produced low-carbon nitrogen marks a significant step toward decarbonizing our operations and complements our mission to transition to green supply chain and Net Zero by 2050.

"As a leader in Thailand's electronics industry, we have been actively integrating the Delta Smart Manufacturing (DSM) solution to achieve Industry 4.0 standards. This partnership is particularly timely as we continue to expand and enhance our production capacity through sustainable practices, including initiatives like DSM and the use of sustainably sourced materials.”
