This news builds on Bain & Company's decades of industry leadership in addressing the world's most critical concerns, such as climate change's far-reaching consequences, environmental degradation, and structural inequity.

The hiring comes after Bain announced in June the launch of 'Further,' an integrated suite of ESG capabilities that works with customers to address issues such as climate change, structural inequity, and environmental degradation. Faelli will collaborate with Bain's 2,500-strong team on this project.

Faelli has been with Bain for more than 23 years, most recently as the leader of the firm's Consumer Products division, where he advised senior consumer goods executives in Europe, Asia, North America, and Australia. Faelli has been a professor of strategy at Solvay Business School in Brussels since 2013, in addition to his employment at Bain.

Manny Maceda, Worldwide Managing Partner of Bain & Company, said: “Over the past two decades, François has guided many of the leading consumer product companies on the planet through the tectonic shifts happening in their industries, including the growing urgency for corporations to address climate change and social inequities. In his new role, François will put his strategic expertise to work, helping our clients navigate the remarkable challenges and opportunities along with their sustainability transformations.”
