Global travel management leader ATPI Group joins forces with Neste, a frontrunner in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), to tackle the challenge of reducing emissions in business travel.

ATPI's "Halo" programme, known for its carbon-reduction solutions, is expanding. This partnership allows clients to directly invest in SAF, a crucial step towards a greener future for air travel.

Neste, a leader in SAF production for over a decade, provides airlines and airports with fuel derived entirely from renewable sources. This collaboration highlights both companies' commitment to sustainability and helping the industry achieve net-zero goals.

Pippa Ganderton, Product Director of ATPI Halo, said:

"As global air passenger numbers are expected to double by 2040, the aviation industry faces a critical challenge in reducing emissions dramatically. Despite research into various alternative propulsion technologies, the aviation industry still relies heavily on liquid jet fuel, predominantly sourced from fossil fuels.

“SAF, on the other hand, presents a more sustainable alternative, with the potential to slash greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% over its lifecycle compared to conventional fossil jet fuels, as well as contributing to around 65% of the emission reductions required to achieve net-zero. This is a huge step in the right direction, and our partnership with Neste marks a significant milestone in the journey towards sustainable aviation for the business travel industry.”

Susanne Bouma, Head of Programs and Partnerships from the Renewable Aviation business at Neste, says:

"We're thrilled to partner with ATPI as a leading corporate travel management company. This collaboration expands opportunities for businesses to minimise their air travel footprint through our Neste Impact solution. Partnerships like this are crucial to accelerate SAF adoption and achieve net-zero emissions in aviation by 2050."

ATPI's commitment to sustainability goes beyond this partnership

  • Appointment of a Sustainability Officer: Louisa Toure leads internal sustainability initiatives and develops comprehensive ESG strategies.

  • EcoVadis Recognition: ATPI received a Silver EcoVadis Medal for the second year, solidifying their position as a top sustainability performer globally.
