NorthWest Copper has announced the publication of its foundational Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report for the period ending December 31, 2021.

The report outlines the company's preliminary assessment of its adherence to reporting standards as well as ethical and transparent project development. The company merged with Sun Metals Corp. in March 2021 to form NorthWest. Launching tracking and reporting of the company's ESG policies and performance was a critical first step.

“NorthWest Copper has prioritised ESG from our inception in 2021,” said President and CEO Peter Bell. “We are pleased to provide this report as part of our commitment to transparency. It gives us a strong baseline to track and demonstrate our progress in this area as we advance our projects.”

The report follows the standards and methods of the Sustainability Accounting Principles Board. It has both quantitative and qualitative metrics for the time period from March 5 to December 31, 2021. NorthWest intends to publish this report every year in the future.
