Microsoft Announces Another Milestone in its Journey Towards Sustainability
Microsoft Corporation

The Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals are some of the most addressed, especially by major corporations like Microsoft and their "global network of partners".
Microsoft claims that a net-zero carbon economy is what will define the future. For this purpose, all companies need to take action to limit their carbon footprint and invest strategically in businesses to create sustainable growth and value.
The company posted on its blog that organisations need more accessible, centralised data intelligence to make the high-stakes decisions that are required right now to address complex issues, weighing both business and ESG criteria to direct capital toward investment opportunities that balance growth and impact.
"To stabilise our future and build more quickly toward a global net-zero carbon economy, organisations of all types, sizes, and sectors are facing the need to transform common practises." Microsoft is introducing the Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability solutions to accelerate that progress through intelligence and data management and help customers constantly adapt to change.
This solution enables the connection to real-time data, which will offer measurement tools and environmental performance assessments.
Ultimately, according to the blog post published by Microsoft, Software as a Service (SaaS) relies on a Sustainability Manager that is meant to "unify data intelligence", "build more enduring infrastructures", "reduce the environmental impact of operations" and "create more sustainable value chains".
