Flipkart, a prominent e-commerce operator, has created a new virtual store called 'Flipkart Green,' which will sell environmentally friendly goods in a range of categories for around 30,000 products.

Customers interested in sustainable living will find a wide range of products at the new 'Flipkart Green' store.

Flipkart Green will carry products from over 40 brands in areas such as fashion, personal care, health & well-being, nutrition, household goods, and lifestyle.

Flipkart plans to add more eco-friendly products to its selection in the near future by adding new product categories like sports, fitness, toys, stationery, electronics, and appliances.

Amitesh Jha, Senior Vice President, Category and Marketplace at Flipkart, said in a statement, “At Flipkart, we view sustainability as a holistic approach that encompasses the environment, individuals, and society. Through the ‘Flipkart Green’ sustainability store, we aim to create a sustainable, equitable, and more inclusive e-commerce ecosystem.”

“This initiative will continue to bring various mindful brands under one umbrella through a one-stop online destination for customers. This also aligns with our goal to promote sustainably sourced products towards improving social, economic and environmental well-being of the larger ecosystem,” he added.
