Standard Chartered has chosen Dana Barsky as its new Global Head of Sustainability Strategy and Net Zero, with her base in Singapore.

In her role, Dana will lead critical sustainability initiatives, ensuring the bank's net zero commitments are met across all emissions scopes.

Her responsibilities also involve advancing sustainability integration throughout the bank's global operations and cultivating relationships with both the public and private sectors. Moreover, she will forge sustainable partnerships to align with Standard Chartered's strategic goals and strengthen engagement with civil society.

Dana brings over 25 years of corporate finance, M&A, and sustainability expertise to the position. Previously, she served as President of Growth for Good, focusing on inclusive, innovative, and sustainable companies. Her prior roles at Credit Suisse included Global Head of Sustainable Finance.

Dana will report to Marisa Drew, Group Chief Sustainability Officer, and join the CSO Management Team. Marisa Drew expressed enthusiasm about Dana's appointment, highlighting her expertise in driving sustainability strategy and embedding the bank's net zero commitment, reaffirming sustainability as a central strategic pillar for Standard Chartered.
