Schneider Electric has joined forces with Obeikan Digital Solutions, a part of the Saudi Arabian company Obeikan Investment Group. Together, they aim to promote sustainable manufacturing by implementing digital technologies and electrification.

Obeikan recently joined Schneider Electric's EcoXpert Partner Programme, which will provide training and certification for the company.

This will enable Obeikan to offer industrial companies in Saudi Arabia energy management software, specifically the EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert.

This software is designed to assist energy-intensive industries in improving their energy management processes and making data-driven decisions. By implementing this software, manufacturing companies in Saudi Arabia can reduce their energy consumption and carbon footprint.

Mohammed Shaheen, Cluster President, Schneider Electric, Saudi Arabia and Yemen, said: “We are excited to welcome Obeikan Digital Solutions onto our industry-unique programme of global EcoXperts. As a leader in energy management and industrial automation, we want to create impactful partnerships for an all-digital and all-electric world. This agreement will help deliver major benefits to industrial companies seeking to drive digitisation and sustainability in line with the Saudi Green Initiative. It also reflects our uncompromising commitment to providing innovative solutions in technology and the way we do business.”

“Obeikan Digital Solutions has a vision of enabling the transformation of Saudi Arabia’s manufacturing capabilities through digitalisation and technological,” said Abdallah Obeikan, (CEO of Obeikan Group). “Schneider Electric is one of our strategic partners and shares the same vision on how Internet-of-Things and cloud computing can transform plants to be smarter, more efficient, more productive and eventually more sustainable. We aim to accelerate innovation within the energy sector in the Kingdom."

Schneider Electric's EcoXpert Partner Programme provides training and certification for EcoXperts to act as implementation specialists for the company's IoT-enabled smart architecture platform, EcoStruxure, for buildings and homes worldwide.

By partnering together, Obeikan Digital Solutions and Schneider Electric aim to accelerate digital transformation in power-intensive industries. By joining the EcoXpert Partner Programme, Obeikan will have the opportunity to expand its business by embracing innovation in intelligent buildings, increasing its market share and profitability.

This partnership aligns with Saudi Arabia's strategy to create ten new renewable energy projects as the country aims to diversify its economy and increase its use of clean energy to support its expanding industries. In addition, this partnership will support the development of local expertise and talent, which Schneider Electric aims to promote through new partnership agreements with local companies. These agreements will focus on enhancing sustainability in homes, buildings, data centres, infrastructure, and industries.
