Holcim introduces ECOCycle®, a proprietary circular technology platform for recycling construction demolition materials into innovative building solutions.

Holcim's ECOCycle® technology enables 100% recycling of construction demolition materials, transforming them into decarbonised raw materials for low-carbon cement, aggregates for concrete and fillers for road construction.

According to Jan Jenisch, CEO of Holcim, the company is a leader in driving circular construction in metropolitan areas, utilising ECOCycle® to recycle construction demolition materials into new solutions, creating cities from cities, and promoting a sustainable future for people and the planet.

Holcim is implementing ECOCycle® technology across its material solutions to scale up circular construction, reducing the use of natural resources while maintaining performance.

ECOCycle® efficiently processes and recycles construction demolition materials to incorporate them into concrete, cement, and aggregates, with percentages ranging from 10 to 100%.

As a pioneer in circular construction, Holcim has launched cement with 20% recycled construction demolition materials in Switzerland and is expanding this solution across Europe.

Holcim is also building the world's first affordable housing complex in France with 100% ECOCycle® recycled concrete and a residential area in the UK with 50% ECOCycle® Aggregates made from 100% recycled construction demolition materials.
