Morningstar Sustainalytics Appoints New Singapore Director

The Singapore office of Morningstar Sustainalytics has appointed a new director in the ESG arm.

A statement says that Yayoi Asazuma has been given the job of director of client relations at Morningstar Sustainalytics. Asazuma's job will be based in Singapore, and she will be in charge of meeting the ESG needs of institutional investor clients in Singapore, Malaysia, and other Southeast Asian countries.

Asazuma joined the Tokyo office of Morningstar Sustainalytics in 2019 after working for Nomura Securities for 20 years in Singapore, Hong Kong, and London.

Morningstar fully acquired Sustainalytics in 2020 to form Morningstar Sustainalytics, an ESG research, ratings, and data firm. The company has more than 1,500 employees, including more than 500 analysts, who work in 17 offices worldwide.
