Eden Research Announces Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Eden Research plc, the AIM-quoted company, focused on sustainable biopesticides and plastic-free formulation technology for use in the global crop protection, animal health, and consumer products industries, announced the appointment of Richard Horsman as Non-Executive Director.

Richard joins the team with over 25 years of AIM and Main Market experience, having worked in both Executive and Non-Executive roles across a wide range of industries and businesses. He has experience delivering both organic and acquisition-based growth, which will help Eden meet its strategic objectives. Richard has practical agricultural experience as well, having owned and maintained a commercial farm and earning a Diploma from Plumpton Agricultural College.

Richard also serves on the boards of directors of Toople plc, a provider of broadband, fixed line, and mobile solutions, and Gardien Group, a provider of software and services to the printed circuit board sector. Previous non-executive roles have included Tomco plc, an AIM-listed oil exploration and technology company, and Plethora Solutions plc, a specialised pharmaceutical company.

Before joining the board of directors, Richard was CEO of Cybit Holdings plc, a prominent developer of ASP-based software solutions for the automobile and asset management markets. He created the company's market strategy in this role, assembling a team to build a leading product and service portfolio. Richard established Cybit as a European market leader, with double-digit sales and profit growth, before directing its sale to Francisco Partners in late 2009, resulting in a 106% premium to the share price.

Eden Chairman Lykele van der Broek commented:

"With over 25 years of executive-level experience in both public and privately owned businesses, Richard is a valuable addition to the Eden team. As the only AIM-listed business focused on sustainable biopesticides, Eden is dedicated to growing the business to meet the rising needs of farmers across the globe, who are seeking viable alternatives to conventional chemical pesticides, as they are increasingly regulated out of the market. Richard's wealth of knowledge and experience will provide an additional perspective as we continue to focus on our growth strategy and pursue opportunities across new geographies and product lines, both organically and potentially through industry consolidation."
