Brazil Enacts New Law for Sustainable Aviation

The law is expected to create more job opportunities and support technological innovation.
Sustainable aviation ambitions get a boost in the country.
The Fuel of the Future law recently passed by the Brazilian government supports the production and encourages the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs).
The law helps Brazil's aviation industry become more sustainable, opens fresh job opportunities, and promotes technological advancements and exports.
One of the advantages of SAF is that it reduces carbon emissions by up to 80% compared to fossil fuels. Brazil is a leader in biofuels, and the enactment of the law will cement its position in the sustainable aviation sector.
Francisco Gomes Neto, president of Embraer, a leading aerospace company in Brazil, believes that Brazil has the potential to become a key producer and exporter of SAF.
The company has been involved in years of biofuel research and has even built aircraft that can run on ethanol and SAF. All of its planes can use a mix of 50% SAF.
The new law will play an increasingly important role in supporting sustainable aviation in the country while also benefiting the environment and the economy.
