The British Insurance Brokers' Association (BIBA) has reiterated its commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) values for 2024 as regulations both in the UK and internationally become stricter.

Graeme Trudgill, BIBA's Chief Executive Officer, has signed the association's ESG policy, highlighting transparency and accountability in all its activities. BIBA plans to update its ESG policy yearly and make it accessible to the public.

Trudgill explained, "In 2023, we laid down the foundation of our ESG policy and began putting our plans into action across the association. Looking ahead to 2024, we aim to strengthen our efforts and show through our actions, along with our members', our commitment to sustainable insurance, benefiting the people and communities we serve."

The BIBA Manifesto 2024 includes commitments to support members in meeting upcoming regulatory standards on diversity and inclusion, prevent misleading practices, enhance diversity in leadership roles, and attract diverse talent to the industry.
