Sky Media, the advertising arm of Sky, is searching for regional heroes committed to a greener future through their new initiative, Sky Zero Footprint Fund: Local Heroes.

Building on the success of the original Sky Zero Footprint Fund, this programme empowers SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) to amplify their sustainability efforts. Nine lucky businesses across the UK and Ireland will win a £20,000/€20,000 media package to create and air a TV campaign alongside £2,500/€2,500 towards production from a local agency.

Here's how to become a Local Hero:

  • Community Recognition: Get your local community involved! The public will vote for their favourite sustainable businesses, propelling the top 10 in each region to the final round.

  • Local Expertise: A panel of local judges will collaborate with public votes to select the final winners for each of the nine regions.

Why Participate?

David Sanderson, Director of AdSmart Local and Development said, “Businesses of all shapes and sizes around the UK are making real change in the fight against climate change. We want to reward those businesses by giving them access to grow their business and spread their sustainable message. AdSmart from Sky is the perfect platform to do that, in a focused and targeted way for regional businesses, and has already helped thousands of businesses get on TV for the first time.”

Applications Open Now

The application window is open from July 3rd to October 29th. Head over to www.adsmartfromsky.co.uk/local-heroes to learn more and apply for the Sky Zero Footprint Fund: Local Heroes.
