  • The company partners with industry leaders to create a circular fashion future.

  • Transform recycled textile waste into high-quality polyester yarn.

  • The T-REX project aims to establish a standardised process for recycling textiles across Europe.

Indorama Ventures is playing an increasingly important role in creating a circular fashion industry.

The company is now a partner in the T-REX project, which focuses on recycling household textile waste into new clothing. Collaborating with other industry leaders, the goal of the project is to develop a large-scale textile recycling plan for Europe.

Indorama Ventures will turn recycled materials into polyester yarn. This process removes impurities and produces high-quality yarn for new clothing. The company's role in T-REX aligns with its aim to support circular economy practices and reduce waste.

Diego Boeri, head of Indorama Ventures' Fibers business, said, “Indorama Ventures has decades-long experience in manmade-fibers processes, especially in polyester, and we are committed to driving sustainable solutions and the use of circular feedstock across the value chain to help our partners achieve their sustainability goals. We look forward to leveraging our technical expertise to contribute towards the success of the textile-to-textile recycling within the T-REX Project.”

The T-REX project brings together 13 companies and research organisations to study new methods for recycling textiles. Funded by the European Union, the project helps in converting unwanted clothes into valuable materials for new products.
