RBC BlueBay Announces Double Hire to Strengthen ESG Investment Team

RBC BlueBay has expanded its ESG investment team with two new hires in the UK and the US.
Younes Hassar is now working for the company as a senior ESG analyst in London, reporting to Lucy Byrne.
He has worked for BNP Paribas, HSBC, Aviva Investors, and Federated Hermes in both in-house and consulting roles.
Hassar's new job is to help the firm's investment experts with ESG analysis and stewardship tasks.
Emir Beganovic comes from Thrivent Asset Management, where he most recently served as the head of the ESG programme.
Before this, he worked for RBC Wealth Management as a product due diligence analyst.
In his new job as an ESG analyst based in Minneapolis, Beganovic will work with professionals who invest in fixed income and be in charge of ESG integration and engagement.
Head of BlueBay ESG investment and portfolio manager at RBC BlueBay, My-Linh Ngo, said: "Our team has expanded and changed considerably since we hired our first ESG consultant almost a decade ago."
She said that ESG continues to be of "critical importance in helping future-proof our business" and the dual appointment will enable the company to incorporate ESG into its investment process.
Ngo said: "They both bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to their prospective roles, and I look forward to working together to enhance the BlueBay fixed income ESG offering at RBC BlueBay."
