Private Equity News' inaugural list of the Most Influential in ESG, published in April, featured 13 women among the 20 on the list. Here we celebrate the female executives shaping sustainability agendas at private equity firms.

Buyout firms have made concerted efforts on ESG in recent years, especially in the wake of the EU’s Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation.

Many of those efforts have been led by women who are dedicated heads of ESG and sustainability, driving forward agendas at the firm and portfolio level.

Despite criticism that the sector has been slower than mainstream investment managers to embrace ESG, buyout firms have made concerted efforts in recent years, especially in the wake of the EU’s Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation.

Most now have dedicated heads of ESG and sustainability to drive forward agendas both at the firm and portfolio level.
