Link Group has been accredited by two organisations for its environmental, social and governance performance (ESG).

The firm is assessed by the Certified Sustainable Housing Label (CSHL) administered by international consultancy firm Ritterwald and is a Pan-European ESG assessment that measures housing companies’ sustainability.

Link was awarded the CSHL in 2020, retaining it in 2021 and 2022. It assesses Link’s performance against a wide range of sustainability criteria. In 2020 and 2021, Link achieved front-runner status for Environmental and Social dimensions and Ambassador status for Governance. In 2022, Link was accredited front-runner status for Social and Governance and received Ambassador status for Environmental.

The group has recently adopted Sustainability Reporting Standards for Social Housing (SRS) – a voluntary UK-based reporting framework for social housing that covers 48 criteria across ESG. Examples of the criteria include zero carbon targets, affordability, safety, and resident voice.

Jon Turner, Link’s CEO, said: “We will shortly release our excellent ESG Report to help ensure these important themes are embedded throughout the Link Group.

“It shows how seriously Link takes ESG and that internationally renowned organisations have accredited us. These acknowledgements of best practice in this area will be of comfort and reassurance to any organisation that wishes to work with us.”
