Instant Brands Provides $50,000 to World Central Kitchen Ukraine Support

Instant Brands, the producer of Instant Pot and Pyrex, has increased its commitment to solving food insecurity by making a $50,000 direct donation to World Central Kitchen (WCK), a non-profit on the frontlines of humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. The donation will help WCK provide 250,000 meals to refugee families and those who remain within Ukraine's borders.
The donation to World Central Kitchen was made possible by 100% of the proceeds from the sale of a limited-edition Ukraine Pyrex bowl and the company's first-ever employee charitable donation match programme.
World Central Kitchen is a non-profit organisation that responds to emergencies by providing fresh meals while also striving to establish resilient food systems through locally-led solutions.
WCK was chosen because of the company's shared commitment to combating food insecurity and WCK's ten-year track record in crisis response.
WCK has served over 25 million meals to families in Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Moldova, Hungary, Slovakia, Spain, and Germany in response to the crisis in Ukraine.
Ben Gadbois, President and CEO of Instant Brands, said:
"Our hearts break for the Ukrainian people who continue to experience the unimaginable. We're inspired by the extraordinary work of Chef José Andrés and World Central Kitchen and felt compelled to help in some way. I'm proud of our employees and grateful to everyone who loves our products. Their collective support helps us nourish communities in need and live out our Made for Together commitment every day."
Maggie Leahy, Director, Donor Relations, World Central Kitchen, said: "We're grateful for Instant Brands' generosity as we continue to serve thousands of fresh meals daily to residents and refugees in the region."
