HLB Mann Judd has established a Sustainability Steering Committee (SSC) to drive sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) for the firm.

The SSC will oversee the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives within the organisation and for their clients. The committee is chaired by Nicholas Guest, Assurance and Advisory Partner at HLB Mann Judd Sydney and Michelle Warren, Financial and Corporate Reporting Director at HLB Mann Judd Australasian Association.

The SSC will promote a sustainability culture across the association by developing policies, educating and raising awareness and taking practical action. It will also support the company's clients on their ESG and sustainability journey.

HLB Mann Judd has also partnered with Sumday, a carbon accounting technology provider. Sumday helps organisations measure their Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions to audit-ready standards.

Nicholas Guest said the initiative is all about delivering value to clients. “With changes coming for all businesses, large and small, accountants are well placed to support their clients with sustainability."

Michelle Warren said the firm is committed to sustainability in its operations. “We want to increase HLB Mann Judd’s positive impact on the environment, our people and the communities we serve ” she said. “We’ve always been community focused but we’re always looking for ways to do more. Getting our team to understand sustainability risks and opportunities is key and education is a big part of that.”

“We will take responsibility and make a positive lasting impact on the future” she said.
