EQT Hires Tinna C. Nielsen and Angela Jhanji to Lead its Global Sustainability Team

EQT expands its global sustainability team by appointing two key senior hires, Tinna C. Nielsen in Copenhagen and Angela Jhanji in New York City. The recent appointment reflects the firm's commitment to sustainability, diversity, equity and inclusion, and human rights.

Tinna C. Nielsen has joined as Equitable Transformation Lead for Social and Human Sustainability, reporting to Bahare Haghshenas, Global Head of Sustainable Transformation.

She is an organisational anthropologist with over 16 years of experience assisting businesses in achieving social impact and long-term change. She formerly worked for the Danish Institute for Human Rights, the United Nations, and as a consultant in several fields.

Tinna is also a member of the World Economic Forum Expert Network, an experts' group dedicated to addressing global issues. She will be in charge of Human Rights, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at EQT. She will also drive initiatives across the firm's global network of advisers and portfolio businesses.

Angela Jhanji is the new Managing Director for Sustainability Integration at EQT Private Capital. Sophie Walker, Head of Sustainability for Private Capital, will be Angela's supervisor.

Angela comes to EQT from Grant Thornton, where she worked as an ESG Director and helped create and lead the firm's ESG and sustainability advisory services in the United States.

She has spent more than 16 years assisting boards and management teams in driving sustainability maturity across industries. She will work closely with EQT's investment professionals to drive integration throughout the investment lifecycle. It includes giving advice on possible investment opportunities and due diligence and speeding up the ongoing sustainability transformations of EQT Private Capital's 200 portfolio companies.

Bahare Haghshenas, EQT’s Global Head of Sustainable Transformation, said:

“We are thrilled to welcome Tinna and Angela to EQT’s global sustainability team as we double down on our industry-leading commitment to sustainability. These latest hires underscore our focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, and human rights, as well as our ambition to drive sustainable value creation across our investments. Tinna and Angela’s expertise will be instrumental in the next phase of EQT’s journey.”
