DBS Announces Creation of Board Sustainability Committee

The BSC provides ESG governance, oversight and integration. It will analyse the asset, portfolios and loans associated with the bank and focus on climate-related measures to accelerate sustainability across its operations.

The committee will provide governance and oversight on ESG matters that include sustainability pillars, development goals and disclosures, and stakeholder engagement.

Piyush Gupta, the DBS CEO, will chair the BSC, along with other board members, including Chng Kai Fong, Judy Lee and Tham Sai Choy, all of whom have great expertise in sustainability management.

According to Gupta, “to oversee the complex and extensive work being done as we further weave ESG into the fabric of our business”.
