CWT, the Business-to-Business-for-Employees (B2B4E) travel management platform, has announced the appointment of Richard Thompson as its Global Head of ESG and Employee Experience.

Richard was Vice President of Global Internal Communication and Culture at CWT. He will now be in charge of the company's activities related to responsibly doing business.

He will also continue to oversee the company's HR communications and CWT workplace culture initiatives. However, he will give the company's Chief Communications Officer, Julian Walker, responsibility for global internal communication.

Richard is a member of the Human Resources leadership team and is a key link between the Board of Directors' Nominating and Environment, Social, and Governance (NESG) committee and Executive Vice President and Chief HR Officer Laura Watterson. He reports to Executive Vice President and Chief HR Officer Laura Watterson.

Richard joined the company in 2016, and in January 2020, he was named VP, Global Internal Communication & Culture. Before joining CWT, Richard worked as a consultant for more than 25 years in the automotive, manufacturing, and business-to-business (B2B) industries for companies like Nissan Europe, Capgemini, Technip, and Cargill. There, he helped multinational companies deal with the challenges of change and corporate communication during global transformations. He has a Bachelor of English Literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

“I’m eager to accelerate CWT’s internal programs and external positions related to sustainability and ESG issues, working closely with our Board of Directors, colleagues and partners around the world, to build on our foundation and make us a leader in this field,” said Richard Thompson, Global Head of ESG and Employee Experience, CWT. “Moreover, ESG is an integral part of the experience CWT provides its employees. In my new role, my primary goal will be to work with our teams to raise the level of our ESG and employee experience ratings, content, reporting, stakeholder communication and investor engagement with particular emphasis on sustainability issues.”
