Andrea Ruotolo Embarks on a Journey to Drive Sustainability in Manufacturing Sectors

Rockwell Automation's global head of customer sustainability, Andrea Ruotolo, is constructing a net-zero home in Ontario, Canada. She concentrated her whole career on accelerating sustainability on an international level.

Ruotolo, a Fulbright Scholar with a PhD, is one of the leaders of the growing Rockwell team that is speeding up the global development and deployment of new and improved customer sustainability services. Ruotolo, in her newly created role, develops and leads strategies and initiatives for assisting Rockwell clients in achieving their sustainability objectives.

Ruotolo added, "With Rockwell’s unmatched capabilities in industrial automation, we can be more than solution providers. We can help our customers become better stewards of natural resources and better able to do business in ways that are more productive per unit of energy and resources consumed, and more environmentally responsible."

"We have the expertise and the opportunity to unlock greater connectivity and leverage valuable production data to produce actionable insights that improve processes, efficiency, and drive sustainable innovation.”

Ruotolo's career has been spent in global, multi-jurisdictional leadership roles in highly technical industries, where she has emphasised customer-centric sustainability. This is how she did it: She built and led new performance-based teams at the crossroads of sustainability and technological change in each of her roles.

In addition to her customer-focused leadership role, Ruotolo helps promote innovations throughout Rockwell's business groups and internal operations to advance the company's internal environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.

Ruotolo graduated from the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware, with a Fulbright Doctorate in Economics and Technology. She also holds a certificate from the MIT Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in digital business strategy.
