Lenovo has been honoured with the Outstanding Program Leadership Award in the 7th edition of the Sustainable Procurement Leadership Awards by EcoVadis, in recognition of its commitment to sustainable procurement practices.

EcoVadis, a prominent provider of business sustainability ratings, serves as a strategic partner for companies that understand the importance of sustainability in safeguarding their brands, driving business growth, fostering customer loyalty, and boosting investor confidence.

The EcoVadis Sustainable Procurement Leadership Awards acknowledge and celebrate companies at the forefront of incorporating sustainability into their interactions with global trading partners. The winners of these prestigious awards were announced during the EcoVadis Sustain 2023 conference, which took place on March 13th.

"When accepting the Outstanding Program Leadership award on behalf of Lenovo, Qing Qu, Senior Sustainability Specialist at Lenovo, emphasised that sustainability is not just a buzzword for the company, but a fundamental value that guides their strategy and operations."

Dustin Deal, Director of Global Supply Chain Sustainability at Lenovo, further expressed that Lenovo is continuously seeking ways to enhance sustainability in its operations. He highlighted that this recognition serves as a testament to the company's unwavering commitment to fostering a better world for future generations through sustainable business practices.

Furthermore, Lenovo's commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 is aligned with its broader global supply chain sustainability efforts. In fact, in January 2023, Lenovo was among the first batch of companies to have their net-zero targets validated by the prestigious Science Based Targets initiative. Additionally, Lenovo's dedication to sustainability has been recognised by Gartner, as they climbed seven spots from 2021 to rank 9 in the Gartner Global Supply Chain Top 25 listing for 2022.
